I get accused a lot of enabling. That is, introducing others to Very Cool Things that then either suck up their a) time, b) money, or both.

Well, all things come around, and I blame [livejournal.com profile] kistha for introducing me to LUSH. (They have online shops for like, every country.) Which is currently offering a SALE on their Neil Gaiman, Stardust-inspired bath bomb, appropriately named Stardust. Also, you can get 5% off your total purchase by using the promotional code GIFTFORYOU09 at checkout.

I totally blame Neil's twittering for this, since he linked to the sale this morning. Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] kistha, as stated.

If you've never tried it, truly, their bath stuff is awesome. I have been very unhappy with my expensive salon shampoo for awhile, so I'm going to give Lush's shampoo a try, too. I waffled about ordering anything, but then I hit upon a brilliant plan - I ordered some stuff for my sister, who at six months pregnant is starting to feel very blah, indeed, and added just a couple of things for me. :D I think she'll love the Stardust bath bomb (as both a bath and Neil Gaiman fan), and I'm hoping some of the other stuff will make her feel feminine and girly. I just have to decide - do I wrap it up as part of her shower gift, or do I give it her as a special sister thing before? Hmmm.

Go forth and spend some time (and possibly money) exploring their site! This completes my enabling for the day. :D

LUSH!

God, I wish I had more money right now, I'd so buy that bath bomb. :D But yes, I wish that everyone would give Lush a chance at least once.

It is addicting! I've been hoarding my last bath bomb for months. Now, I can use it cause I have more on the way. :D

Two comments re: Lush:

1. If you color your hair, beware. LUSH shampoo bars tend to strip out color. If you don't mind fading, don't worry about it.

2. Make sure that the essential oils in the stuff you're giving your sister are safe for use during pregnancy. Some common stuff like peppermint and rosemary is not safe for use while pregnant, so keep that in mind.

Otherwise, expect to spend a whole lot of money, LUSH can be addictive. Is there a store near you?

Oh-oh. I bleach my hair. Not like totally, but I do weave and highlight it. I ordered a bottled shampoo - Big, I think?

Hmm.

Ooooh, I did not know that about pregnancy and oils! I will check into that.

Nope, no Lush anywhere near me, but that's probably for the best!

I really love LUSH's shampoo bars (Godiva and New) as well as their Big shampoo. As for their conditioners, I <3 American Cream (smells like milkshake)

And if you have a store near you, try the fresh face masks. They can't ship them because they have to be kept chilled, but they are awesome cakes.

I got both Big and American Cream! I am so excited to try them! :-)

No store near me, sadly. The masks sound awesome.

My closest is about three hours away, I make a road trip up with a cooler every once in a while. (That or you can coerce someone coming to stay with you... *G*)

I have a godawful amount of LUSH that I'm hoarding because I don't have easy access to a tub at the moment. I'm sure a lot of the creams are really expired, so I should go through them and weed things out soon.

LUSH is amazing. I've never tried anything from LUSH that I didn't love.

Also, Meg tells me that she's found it cheaper to order from the UK site, even after paying the extra shipping. She priced out the exact same items from the US and UK sites and saved about $20 on her order after converting to dollars. (She's in Mass., though so shipping to Ore. might change the equation a bit.)

Ridiculously enough, it is also faster to order from the UK. The US site takes forever to ship.

Really! From the UK? That is very odd! I wish I had known that before I ordered this morning.

Oh, well. Now I'll know for next time! :D
