They have made a travesty, a silly, modern day rendition of the most loved and adored Jane Austen book come to life on screen ever -- Pride and Prejudice. Go here to view the trailer.

It's....it's...well, it isn't Colin Firth playing Darcy, that's for darn sure. It isn't even a witty rendition such as Bridget Jones Diary. Noooooo, it's wacky contemporary bastardization....that I will no doubt see in theaters, anyway.

Because it does look cute.

In a way totally unrelated to the best film version ever which will still hold the most sacred of places in my DVD collection.

Thanks for the link. It loooks... interesting. But who am I kidding? Anything with just a bit of Jane Austen in it will get me to buy a ticket :)

But nothing will ever replace the wonderful BBC miniseries in my heart. Never!
