So, Valentine's Day. Being poor, me and the hubby were just going to spend the day together at home, play some games or watch some movies or something. Then we got a card in the mail from his parents, with a check in it and the words "Your first Valentine's as a married couple should be spent out in a romantic evening together. We know money is tight right now, so this is our Valentine's gift to you."
So, we went and had a wonderful prime rib dinner and saw the movie Miracle, which was really, really good. Seriously, see it in the theater. We avoided 50 First Dates because, well, it was the date movie for VD, and we don't like Adam Sandler enough to brave that crowd.
Course, I have to catch some stupid cold Friday, so by the time we were eating that prime rib last night, I could barely taste it. *sigh* Oh, well. It was still good. :)
In other news, for the first time in eleven years, I have cut my hair. As in, not just a trim to clean up split ends, but cut. Instead of being halfway down my back, it now barely brushes my shoulders. Kind of scary, but much better all the same. So much easier to style. And it's cute. Of course, the lady who cut it kept saying "makes you look younger!" as if I wanted to hear that. Hello??? I'm not even 30 yet! Don't tell me it makes me look younger! But maybe at 29 I'm supposed to start hearing stuff like that. *sigh*
