I wouldn't know. I spent the entire two days digging up the 12 yard long, three foot slope on our backyard and planting groundcover (a plant called vinca with pretty blue flowers), while Mark and his Dad built our awesome two level deck. Do you know how much digging that is? With a shovel? On a slope?

So. Sore. My pilates has nothing on yard work.

The deck is almost finished. They have something like five boards left to place, and the stairs to finish. And the backyard has been transformed (thanks in no small part to my gardening efforts.) Ok, so maybe their deck building efforts had something to do with it, too. In any case, it's all beautified now. And I've come to the conlcusion that gardening is not really for me. It makes our yard look nice, so there is some satisfaction in that, but there is no amount of money in the world that could inspire me to become a professioanl landscaper.

And yes, there was no time this weekend for fun, or relaxation, or sitting down. We had to go to Home Depot three times, which is always a least an hour excursion thanks to how understaffed they are. I cleaned my house Friday afternoon, and you can't even tell. Because I was too tired to think about doing dishes Saturday or Sunday, and the dogs tracked barkdust in and out. So now I get to clean my house again. Oh, the fun of responsible adulthood.

But we have a deck now, and that is very exciting, indeed.
