Gacked from [profile] ladybug218 , my Fall TV schedule, as the current roster stands:

Monday

8pm:
Chuck
Terminator: SCC
Gossip Girl
(Why couldn't at least one of these shows be on at 9:00?? TGFT [Thank God for Tivo])

9pm:
Heroes - Maybe. I'm giving it one ep, maybe two, and if it's still as sucktastic as last season, it's getting un-season passed.

Tuesday

8pm:
NCIS
(Aside - Seriously, they're re-doing 90210? Why?)

10pm:
Without a Trace
SVU

Wednesday

8pm:
Bones
America's Next Top Model
(As much as I initially adored Pushing Daisies last season, it quickly fell off my watching list for no reason I can pinpoint. Perhaps I'll catch up via DVD. Or not.)

9pm:
Criminal Minds

10pm:
CSI: NY

Thursday

8pm:
Ugly Betty

9pm:
Supernatural
CSI - Maybe. I watched hit and miss this past season, and still haven't watched the finale for which I am hopelessly spoiled. The magic is on rocky, rocky ground here.

10pm:
Eleventh Hour* - What's not to like? Jerry Bruckheimer is producing it, and Rufus Sewell actually plays a protagonist! About time, I say. "Appointed to investigate science-related crimes and crises that have reached a critical point "the eleventh hour", brilliant doctor Jacob Hood and his overprotective FBI bodyguard, Rachel Young, risk their lives delving into thrilling high tech cases."

Friday

10pm:
Life

* Indicates a new show, of which there are very few I'm even remotely interested in so far. Dollhouse won't start airing until something like January, so for now, 11th Hour is it.

I thought I'd post a post-weekend wordcount thing:

Why yes, that is exactly 81,500 - how often does that happen?

My weekend writing consisted of approximately 3K words, which is better than nothing, but not as good as I had hoped. The husband being home, both of us sick, and other sundry events interfered with writing plans. And the fun continues, because even as I'm sitting at my desk right now, my throat hurts, I am tired and my stomach is "blah". Whatever this stupid bug is, I hate it. It makes you feel tired, drained, and miserable without actually making you sick enough to stay home, curled up in bed. Blaaaaah.

Some goodness in my inbox this morning to make me feel better:

Though we all know what family says should be taken with a grain of salt (clearly, the people who say that have never met my painfully brutally extremely honest family), my sister read Nemesis up to about 60,000 words this weekend, and then e-mailed me to demand more and tell me it is, among many other things, "fabulous". Awwww. <3 I shall have to check, but I'm fairly certain that while she liked DV, it didn't engender the same exuberant response as this. And I know for a fact she is not normally an SF reader. Fantasy, yes, SF, not so much. Which means, yay, Nemesis is accessible to those who don't normally read the genre. *is pleased*

Okay, now I'm off to write. (I promise, [livejournal.com profile] kistha, I am not on any cold meds. Yet. And if I do take them, I'll step away from the keyboard.)

Nothing like getting lost in exposition. *sigh* I just deleted almost a thousand words that, while interesting, readers don't need to really know until the next book. However, I also saved them in a miscellaneous file, because they may prove useful when the time comes. :) All that research into cloning will come back around. (I hope.)

In other news, my throat is still sore. Worse, now, actually. Stupid cold. And there's nothing interesting on TV tonight, as everything is done and over with. However, LKH's Blood Noir came out today, and a popcorn book sounds pretty good. If I have the energy after the grocery store, I may swing by Walden's and pick it up.

I have finally bit the bullet and bought two "bento boxes" to pack myself and Mark lunch everyday. I've been considering it for awhile, but [livejournal.com profile] madlori's post about hers today finally convinced me to give them a shot. I got the laptop lunchboxes, and now I'm wishing I'd ordered the extra inner containers (to have so one set that can be in the dishwasher while the other is in use, and also because then I'd have two larger containers with lids for each box, instead of only one.) I guess this way, we'll see how they work out before spending more. In packing Mark's lunch every day, I already do things like cut up his apples, or peel his oranges. His fellow teachers often express envy at the lunches his wife packs for him, so I wonder if the bento lunchbox will increase this response. :)

In reading reviews on them, I see a lot of people saying things like "Wish these came with a drink container", or "wish these were bigger". Um, if they'd ordered the set with the carrying case, it comes with a drink container. And bigger sort of defeats the purpose of portion control, you know? *shakes head* I also stumbled across a flickr pool just for laptop lunches, which gives me a nice idea for what and how much I can pack in them. I'm excited to give this a try, and lamenting the fact that they probably won't arrive until the end of the week.

ETA: Oh, dear. Just realized my eyes have that burning sensation usually accompanying fever. Bed may be the only thing in my future post-work and grocery shopping.

Sick now = stomach issues as well.  I barely touched dinner, and want to curl up and do nothing.  Part of me wants to sleep, but knows I'll just wake up in the early hours of the morning if I go to bed now.

So not fun.

The husband is watching the new Rambo.  Wow, is it ever graphically violent.  Not helping my stomach issues.

Also, the plague has moved from his throat and stomach, to turning his nose into a faucet.  This is what I have to look forward to.
