Snow Day!

Not the best pic, and I"m sure not much snow compared to what some of you get, but that's over ice.  All the schools are closed.  Where I work, of course, isn't ("liberal leave" - whatever!).  So, I called my boss this morning, and the first words out of his mouth were "I don't wanna go in!"  "Me either!" I said.

Turns out, he was awake and out driving in his truck, deciding whether or not he wanted to go in to work.  He said the roads didn't seem too bad....and then he got out from his little gravel road, to the main hill, where two cars had already slid off the road this morning.  This white fluff is coming down over the top of all the wet we had yesterday that has frozen into ice.  He said the roads are bad and he advised me to stay home.

Sometimes, I love my boss. :)

My plan today - finish my yuletide story, play in the snow with my nephews.

We had bad weather here in MI too... my boss told our team yesterday to bring our laptops home 'just in case'.

We had an inch an hour starting at 4 a.m. Multiple people got stuck in the streets of the subdivision and the plows still haven't come yet (it's after 10:30 p.m.!).

But I got to work at home. And that was good, 'cause I soooo would have gotten my little Honda stuck in the road!
