Subject lines kill me some days.
Oct. 26th, 2013 10:30 am~ I've finally picked NCIS back up. I am glad they are having Tony and the rest of the team respond to Ziva's absence for more than one episode. I still have hopes that maybe she'll come back down the road, even if only for an episode or two. I still have a lot of feelings surrounding the storyline, but I'm moving on.
~ I watched 20/20 last night. I don't, normally, but it was on and I got sucked in by the horror of what they were talking about before I managed to turn off the TV. So, I'm really glad that the guy who basically murdered his son for the insurance money (and possibly his former wife, as well) mostly confessed while in interview, but this is like the sixth one of these "after nine hours in interview" confession things I've seen, and I have to wonder, do these criminals have any brains at all? Do they watch crime shows? I mean, really - call a lawyer! Right? A lawyer wouldn't just let police keep questioning them for nine hours. Would they? In any case, I guess it's good they don't call one, so they confess and get caught.
~ Just finished a re-read of Ender's Game in preparation for seeing the movie. One of the first SF books I ever read, and reading it now, I'm freaking amazed at the way he linked the "netnews" and politics, considering the internet was a fledgling thing back when the book was originally written. Anyway, there are lots of things I wonder and worry about with this book being translated to film. Actually, I have a whole section of deeper thoughts I may just detail in a separate post.
~ Going to Disneyland with the family for Christmas. It's a litte weird, thinking of not being home for the holiday, but it's Disney, right? So it's bound to be fantastic. This is why we bought annual passes back in March.
~ My new job is doing a Halloween costume contest/potluck. It's possible they have no idea what they are letting themselves in for. I am going out on a limb here, when I say I'm pretty sure no one else in this office is as much a costume freak as I am. I mean, what will I wear? I'm thinking pirate, only because most of the other costumes in my closet involve hoop skirts, crinolines, or paniers. Which would make sitting at my desk all day problematic. The question is, do I bring my fully functional sword? Maybe not, huh?
